Cantor David Levine attended Temple University and following completion of cantorial training, continued on with private training under Cantor Noah Schall and then with Professor Shalom Altman of Gratz College.
Possessing a lyric tenor voice, Cantor Levine has, in addition to his religious duties, performed on the concert stage in both North and South America. He is a talented musician, a fluent music reader, and capable of arranging accompanying musical backgrounds. His studies have led him through exhaustive research into prayer music, its meaning and its history, resulting in an extensive knowledge of cantorial and congregational chants and singing.
