⇒ Our High Holiday cantor this year (5778) is Anna Chapman. She has an MS in Arts Education and is currently a cantorial student at JTS. Rabbi Metz and Cantor Chapman are working to bring us a High Holiday program with all of the warmth, spirituality, and vitality you have come to expect from Congregation Beth Mordecai.
⇒ On the subject of music, Rabbi Metz has been (ever-so-gently) introducing some new tunes. Here’s a link to a lovely Oseh Shalom on YouTube that the rabbi has been singing on Saturdays.
⇒ We will be collecting food for a local food pantry again this year. Please drop off non-perishable packaged KOSHER food items. The bins for drop-offs will be set up from Rosh Hashanah through Sukkot.
⇒ Rabbi Metz will be participating in the JCC’s “Senior Lunch in the Sukkah” Tues, Oct 10. Click here for info from the JCC.
⇒ Don’t forget to use the Amazon Smile program when you visit amazon.com. The synagogue gets a donation when you purchase. It’s free. Click for details.
