In this week's Torah portion, Aaron's sons Nadav and Avihu bring an "eish zarah," a strange fire, to the tabernacle and instead of having their gift accepted, they are personally consumed by a fire from God. 2013/5773 (Triennial III) -- Connecting with God in Different Ways  Many Jewish communities, including most synagogues, focus on bringing people closer to their Judaism in various different ways, including through learning (Torah) and prayer (Avodah). Yet in the hectic times we live in, are we stretching ourselves too thin as institutions and as individuals? Should we focus on specific areas of interest or continue a more generalized approach?
