Join us to read and discuss “The Haj,” by Leon Uris.
The Haj is an epic story of hate and love, vengeance and forgiveness. It is about a Palestinian Arab family caught up in the Middle East’s historic events of the 1920s-1950s as witnessed by Ishmael, the youngest son of a village leader’s family. The book discusses the interactions and clashed between Ishmael’s village and the Jewish pioneers building up Palestine, and making it into Israel.
