Who Shall Live and Who Shall Die… We say it every year, Who Shall Live and Who Shall Die. But have you actually thought about that statement and the impact that it has on your own life. I have, often throughout this past year. You see, last Rosh Hashanah, as I stood on the bemah to address you, the person who was my champion, my biggest supporter, my biggest fan, was no longer in her seat watching you, watching me. On behalf of the Board of Trustees, it gives me great pleasure to announce that Baby Girl Metz joined our Congregation last evening. Weighing in at 7 lbs. 14 oz., everyone is doing well and the family is beyond thrilled. During the 6 weeks of Rabbi Metz’s maternity leave, Shabbat Services will be led by a number of our wonderful lay leaders. Below is the schedule. Interfaith Program in Professional Ethics takes place October 6-13, 2018. Dear Community Members, While in Rabbinical School, I had the incredible opportunity to study and travel with a group based out of the Museum of Jewish Heritage in New York called "Fellowships at Auschwitz for the Study of Professional Ethics." I participated in a fellowship with an interfaith clergy group. (more…)
